Its ‘Election Victory Time’ for Delhi University

Feb 2, 2013 13:31 IST

It’s yet another  same time of the year, when Delhi University sits back tight for their election time.

This season, the Left affiliated Democratic Teacher’s Front candidate Abha Dev Habib and the Congress affiliated Academics for Action and Development’s Aditya Narayan Misra nailed two seats in D.U’s Executive Council elections.

The results for the same, have been declared on 1 Feb 2013. Misra polled some 2,680 votes, while Habib polled 2,292 votes from the total poll of 6,850 votes. In the wake of all the issues happening in the University (DUTA etc) the polls could turn out to be a saving grace.

Both the organizations have also been at the helm of the DUTA executive in the recent past.
