The JEE Mains examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in 2013 will be held on 7 April 2013. As per the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) the online format will be held between 8-25 April 2013.
The examination will be held in the new format. As per the new scheme, the examination for admission to IIT’s, NIT’s and the other centrally funded institutes will come into effect starting next year, 2013.
In the new format, the JEE is all set to be held in two parts , the JEE Mains and the JEE Advanced. Apparently, JEE-Advanced exam will be conducted on 2 2012 after the Mains on 7 April 2012. For detailed information on the same, CLICK HERE.
For admission to NITs and other centrally funded institutes like IIITs, the rank list will be prepared based on the forty per cent weight age to school board marks in class XII and sixty per cent to JEE Mains
