Kerala PSC to allow age relaxation of 05 years to widows

    Kerala PSC has taken a generous step by deciding to provide 05 years age relaxation to widows. This relaxation benefit can be availed for submission of applications for all government jobs in the State of Kerala.

    Replying to a submission in the Assembly, the CM said on the need of providing reservation benefits to widows. The benefits can be availed against all recruitments made by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

    Further the CM assured that the government will amend the existing rules in order to make 05 years age relaxation effective for widows.

    Kerala Public Service Commission is one of the largest functioning bodies in the State. The Commission is involved in recruitment process by conducting examinations for appointments to the services of the State. KPSC also suggests on all matters relating to the methods of recruitment to civil services and for civil posts and on the principles to be followed in making appointments to civil services and posts and in making promotions and transfers from one service to another and on the suitability of candidates for such appointments, promotions or transfers.
