Ladli Behna Yojana 2024: The Madhya Pradesh (MP) government has implemented various schemes in the state for the health and nutrition of women and children and for their economic self-reliance. In this context, it is necessary to keep the following indicators in mind for the all-round development of women in the state. In terms of participation rate in Madhya Pradesh, in rural areas, while men have 57.7 percent participation, only 23.3 percent of women have participated in the labour force. Similarly, in urban areas, only 13.6 percent of women have participated in the labour force against 55.9 percent of men, which shows that women's participation in labour is less than that of men, which affects women’s economic self-reliance.
Keeping in view of the economic self-reliance of women, the Honourable Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh Government, announced the implementation of the "Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana" in the entire Madhya Pradesh on January 28, 2023.
