'Massive Open Online Course' on Coursera to be started by HEC Paris

HEC Paris is the First Business School of France, to launch a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to be hosted on Coursera. HEC Paris came up with this initiation in an effort to boost its academic experience and letting its teachings go beyond the campus boundaries.
The idea of HEEC Paris, MOOCs of being free, open and universally accessible knowledge source is a means of expanding its proficiency and knowledge, to be shared with a global audience.

The new MOOC platform was launched by France's Ministry for Higher Education and Research. HEC will start with the two MOOCs to be led by professors of HEC Paris Professors Alberto Alemanno and Pascal Quiry. These online courses can be availed on Coursera from 2014.
The two preliminary courses to begin with will be on topics of European Law and second being Corporate Finance. One course would be in English while another is in French, technology to its full capacity, so that students or entrepreneurs around the globe can make the most of these courses and also the expertise of the HEC faculty.
