MBA Admissions 2016: Apply in EDI’s PGDM Programmes

    Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Development Studies (PGDM-DS) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Business Entrepreneurship (PGDM-BE) Programmes for the academic session 2016 – 18. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 13th May, 2016.

    Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), an autonomous and not-for-profit institute, set up in 1983, is sponsored by apex financial institutions - the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and the State Bank of India (SBI).

    Eligibility Criteria

    PGDM – DS Programme: The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university / deemed university. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before August 15th.

    PGDM – BE Programme: A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline or a four year (10+2+4) Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Other, recognized by the UGC / AIU / AICTE are eligible for Post Graduation, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Reserved category, as per norms) . 

    Candidates interested in applying for the programme but still appearing for their final year examinations towards their Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

    Selection Process

    PGDM – DS Programme: Eligible Candidates with valid scores in CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT will be called for EDI 'Social Awareness Test' and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection to these Programmes will be made on the basis of performance in EDI 'Social Awareness Test' and Personal Interview (PI).

    PGDM – BE Programme: Eligible Candidates with valid scores in CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT will be called for Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection to these Programmes will be made on the basis of performance in Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

    How to apply for EDI’s PGDM Programmes

    Candidates have to apply to EDI by acquiring application form which can be downloaded from the official website or can be filled online. Applicants who want to apply online can make payments online. The duly filled in downloaded form should be sent to EDI along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of ‘Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India’, payable at Ahmedabad or by transferring Rs.1000/- to the EDI PG admission account.

    Intake Capacity for PGDM – BE Programme

    In this course, the approved intake capacity is 120 seats, within which, 5% seats are reserved for NRI applicants. Over and above the total approved intake, the Institute has 18 seats for admitting Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Foreign Nationals.

    Fee Structure for PGDM – BE Programme

    Fees for the two-year, full-time, programme includes cost of tuition, reading material, library and computer facilities, study visits, alumni association membership and students’ activities fee amounting to Rs. 4,96,000/- for first year & Rs. 4,94,000/- for second year respectively (For fee details visit the website).

    • The fees will be payable in six installments over two years period.

    • Hostel charges will be Rs. 55,000/- per year (AC twin sharing). Mess charges will be as per the rate decided by the Institute.

    • Country visit expenses will be charged separately as per the actuals.

    Fee Structure for PGDM – DS Programme

    Fees for the two-year, full-time, residential course that includes cost of tuition, reading material, library and computer facilities, study visits, alumni association membership and students' activities is Rs. 3,02,550/- for the first year and Rs. 2,92,450/- for the second year (payable in 6 instalments over 2 years).

    It also includes caution money deposit of Rs. 10,000/-, which does not accrue any interest, and will be refunded on successful completion of the course. Hostel charges will be Rs. 55,000/- per year (AC on twin-sharing basis). Mess charges will be as per the rates decided by the Institute.
