Karnataka Examinations Authority has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its MBA Programme for the 2016. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 08th June, 2016.
The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test-2016 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates to 1st year / 1st semester full time / part time MBA course in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka which will be notified by the Government of Karnataka for the year 2016-17.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in MBA Programme
(i) For Full Time MBA courses:
A candidate who has passed Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses. (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates).
(ii) For Part Time MBA courses:
A candidate who has passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates). (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates) In addition to this a candidate after obtaining the degree, must have worked for not less than three years as on 31st July 2016, in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.
Selection procedure for Admission in MBA Programme
Eligible candidates are required to appear for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test, then merit will be prepared on the basis of performance in entrance exam. Finally candidates will go for counselling for getting admission in MBA Programme.
Entrance Exam Pattern for MBA Programme
Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for MBA will be consisted of a total number of 100 MCQ questions. Time allowed for this entrance exam will be 150 minutes. These questions will be asked from following sections;
- Proficiency in English Language
- General Knowledge
- Test of Reasoning and General Intelligence
- Quantitative Analysis

Eligible candidates can apply on the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority on or before last date of application and need to pay Rs. 650 as a fees of registration (Rs.500 for SC / ST candidates).
