Aspiring candidates, seeking admission in B.Ed, M.Ed , Master of Physical Education etc. in Madhya Pradesh, got a sigh of relief when the admission deadlines were extended by the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh. The deadline has been extended till 28 June, 2016.
Earlier the deadline was set to be 27 June, but many students complained the Higher Education Department about their inability to prepare the bank draft as there were bank holidays on Saturday and Sunday. Keeping in mind the problem of the aspiring candidates, the department has allowed them to submit their verified documents and bank demand draft till 28 June, 2016. In order to complete the admission process the candidates must submit the verified documents along with prescribed amount through Demand Draft.
Between 10-19 June, the department has already conducted the first round of counseling for admission and awarded seats to the aspirants on the basis of merit between 23-27 June. Now, as the dates for the submission have been extended, the list of seats available at various colleges would come out at 29 June. Although, schedule for the second round of counseling, would remain same.
Complaining about slow verification of documents, one of the students Gourav Upadhyaya said, “Over 500 aspirants have turned to the college, but verification of hardly 100 has been done so fare. Officials asking for both migration and transfer certificate, but as per rule, aspirants need to furnish either one of document at the time of verification. They might be doing it intentionally just to cut down the crowd here.”
Earlier, the BEd entrance test by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board was held online for the 55000 seats that are vacant at over 550 Bed colleges in the state. Over 60000 candidates registered themselves for the exam. This was the first time when the entrance examination was held online across the state.
