National level entrance exam: BITSAT
About:
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a Computer based online test for Admission to the undergraduate engineering programmes of BITS. There are three campuses of BITS located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITS Pilani is India’s leading Institute of Higher Education and a deemed university under section 3 of the UGC act. In 2014, around 1.8 lakh students appeared for this national level entrance exam for around 2,000 seats available in various BE (Hons.) programmes in BITS.
Eligibility:
- For admission to the Integrated First Degree Programmes (except Dubai campus) the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates appearing in 12th may also apply.
- Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects and adequate proficiency in English.
