National level entrance exam: SRMEEE
SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMEEE) is being held by SRM University for the admissions into undergraduate engineering courses. The SRM University also holds the entrance examination to grant admission into management as well as medicine and health science courses. For Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.), candidates can choose to take the examinations either on offline or online mode. The SRM University (Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University) is a co-educational private university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The university has seven campuses in India, out of which four campuses are in Tamil Nadu located at Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and Tiruchirapalli and rest three are located in Modinagar near Delhi, Sonepat in Haryana and Gangtok in Sikkim. The institute gained deemed status during the 2003-2004 academic year and was renamed as SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It became SRM University in 2006, when it attained the status of a full-fledged university, under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.
- For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent from any recognized board (central or state).
- For All programs: Candidates must have acquired a least combined of 70% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
- For Biomedical Engineering: Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering: Minimum 70% combined in Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
SRMEEE paper pattern:
The SRMEEE 2014 Paper Pattern will comprise a total of 4 segments and 140 questions with 35 questions for each segment.
How to apply:
The Application Forms will be issued from November onwards. There are three modes of registration:
1. Online with e-payment / Unique Voucher Code:
Use the URL www.srmuniv.ac.in/admissions, register and pay online/using prepaid unique voucher code.
2. Online with Demand Draft:
Application to be filled online by visiting admission portal available on the official website of SRM University and the same can be downloaded and sent University with the demand draft of the fee specified. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. This has to reach the university before the last date specified. Candidates should write their name and address on the back of demand draft. The application will be processed only after the receipt of the demand draft.
3. Direct :
Candidates can obtain the application form from any of the selected branches of Axis Bank, City Union Bank, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and post offices as mentioned on the website. The completed application should be sent to the university so as to reach before the last date specified.
