RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2024
The RRB NTPC exam will be conducted online in three phases to recruit eligible candidates for various Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) positions within the Indian Railways, Zonal Railways and Production Unit. The positions on which the candidates will be selected are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, and Station Master. RRB NTPC Age Limit 2024
The official notification pdf has released the age limit for the recruitment of candidates in Indian Railways. The age of candidates must be 18 years and not exceed the age of 36 years for the general category when applying for the RRB NTPC 2024 exam. The cutoff date for calculating the age is January 1, 2025. Candidates must note that the date of birth filled in their application form should be the same as recorded in the matriculation/SSC or an equivalent certificate.
RRB NTPC Age Relaxation
The candidates who belong to the reserved categories are eligible to get the relaxation in age in the upper limit. Check the table below for category wise age relaxation.

Candidates must ensure they fulfil all the prescribed educational and technical qualifications before the closing date of submitting the application form. RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2024: Nationality
Besides the RRB NTPC qualification, candidates should meet certain nationality/citizenship criteria before applying for the post. A candidate should be a:
- A citizen of India,
- A subject of Nepal,
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India,
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.
