SAIL, the country’s largest steel producer, is a Maharatna Company of Government of India that operates 5 integrated steel plants at Rourkela, Bhilai, Durgapur, Bokaro & Burnpur and 3 special steel plants at Salem, Durgapur & Bhadravati.

SAIL Refractory Unit (SRU), a unit of SAIL, issued notification inviting online applications for filling up 6 vacancies in various disciplines with its manufacturing units - SRU Bhandaridah located in Bhandaridah, Dist. Bokaro, Jharkhand; SRU IFICO Plant at Marar & SRU Ranchi Road Refractory Plant at Ranchi Road, both in Ramgarh Dist. in Jharkhand and SRU Bhilai Refractory Plant at Bhilai in Chhattisgarh.

Total vacancies: 6 posts

1. Dy. Manager (Production): 4 posts

Grade: E-3

Pay Scale: Rs. 32900-3%-58000

Maximum Age limit: 37 years (as on 1 February 2014)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic Engineering

Experience: Post–qualification experience of 7 years experience in executive cadre of a Public Limited Company.

2. Medical Officer: 2 posts

Grade: ME-1

Pay Scale: Rs. 20600-3%-46500

Maximum Age limit: 30 years (as on 1 February 2014)

Qualifications: MBBS

Experience: Post–qualification experience of 1 year in a Medical College/Hospital/Institution

[Upper age limit is relax-able by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer)]

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Written Examination followed by Interview.

Information for Written test and Interview will be available on SAIL website at www.sail.co.in.

Candidates shortlisted for interview will have to produce all original documents for verification.

Selected candidates will be on probation for one year.

Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the Company’s Medical Examination.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed single to and fro rail fare by shortest route from the communication address to the interview venue on production of proof of journey performed.

NOTE: All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/ result of written exam/ interview schedule and call letters/ intimation regarding final selection etc. shall be provided through email/ uploaded on SAIL website.

Application/ Processing Fee: Non-refundable application cum processing fee of Rs. 500 (for general and OBC Candidates) / processing fee of Rs 100 (for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Departmental candidates) is to be paid using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking online through the payment gateway made available.

Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through SAIL’s website www.sail.co.in till 25 March 2014.

On successful submission of application form and completion of fee payment (transaction), a Registration Slip with a Unique Transaction Number and Application Number will be generated. Candidates should take its print-out and retain it for future reference.

All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only.

Candidates should retain a copy of Pay in Slip (SBI Challan) and Registration Slip for future reference. Only original
registration slip (no photocopy) shall be accepted. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Registration Slip for future reference.
