Question: I am a student of Class XII from UP board. Economic condition is not good. I wish to study for the polytechnic along with a job and then prepare for the IIT. Will this decision of mine be appropriate? I am confused.

Answer: Economic constraint is faced by many students while apply for higher studies. Don't get disheartened by this. Fulfilling your dream of IIT is difficult after spending three years in polytechnic. Students have to work out of their skins for clearing IIT entrance exam after 12th. Deferment of this decision and efforts for three years is not a wise thing to do. If you believe that you have the ability, then get to the task now. If you get admission in IIT or any other reputed engineering institute, then you can get education loan from some government bank and continue with your studies. Check on the various institutions providing scholarships to bright and deserving students.
