SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination - Admissions - 2015

    SRM University has announced the launch of admissions to their programmes through Joint Entrance Examinations. The process will start with admissions to the popular engineering programmes offered by the university through SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination), opening on 10 November, 2014. SRMJEEE will be common for the SRM Group Universities located in Sikkim and Haryana as well. Admissions for international students opened on 10thOctober 2014.

    Similarly, admission to M. Tech and MBA programs will be based on Common Entrance Examinations SRMGEET and SRMCAT respectively, for which dates will be announced later. Admission to programs in Science and Humanities and Health Sciences are based on merit on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Admission to the Bachelor’s programme in Architecture (B.Arch.) will be based on merit on marks secured in the higher secondary examination and NATA score.

    Keeping in mind the convenience of applicants SRMJEEE 2015 is held both on Paper Pencil Mode and Online mode. The Online examination will be held from 19thto 22nd April 2015 with two sessions each day. The paper pencil exam will be held on 26th April 2015. Applicants have the convenience of applying online with two different modes of payment viz., E-Payment and DD payment.  The Entrance exam will be held in 100 cities across the country.  Over 1.5 lakh students are expected to take the examination.

    The University offers a number of schemes of financial assistance for deserving candidates. The FOUNDER’S SCHOLARSHIPS provides 100% waiver of tuition fee, Hostel fee, Transport fee and Stipend of Rs.1000 / month for toppers in SRMJEEE, JEE, State Board / CBSE / ISCE in school final and Tamilnadu District Toppers.  The scholarships also coverapplicants with outstanding Sports achievements and candidates with special merit. In addition to the FOUNDER’S SCHOLARSHIP, SRM University awards a number of scholarships on the basis of academic merit, special merits, and economic condition of the family,and also to differently-abled candidates. The value of the scholarships varies from 50% to 100% of tuition fee waiver. Scholarships are also available for international students based on the marks obtained in their school qualifying examinations.

    Over 40,000 students from nearly every state of India and from 52 countries, makes SRM University one of the largest centres of higher learning in the country. Another 7000 students are expected to gain entry in the 2015/16 academic year intake. A closer look at the student mix reflects the diversity of students, both from within  India and overseas, a judicious blend of cultures and nationalities, shaping students to become better citizens , but also preparing them for attractive careers in an increasingly global job market.
