Change in UGC NET Exam Pattern
In 2019, NTA revised the UGC NET Exam Pattern, stipulating that candidates must attempt both Paper 1 and Paper 2 within a single three-hour timeframe. Until 2018, the papers were conducted separately.
UGC NET Exam Pattern for Paper 1
UGC NET Paper 1 will be conducted online, comprising 50 questions from 10 subjects. A total of 5 questions will be asked from each subject, each carrying a weightage of two marks. UGC NET Exam Pattern 2024 Paper 2
Applicants are required to choose the subject for UGC NET Paper 2 from the available options of 83 subjects during the application process. They should select the subject in which they completed their post-graduation. Individuals whose post-graduation subject is not listed among the UGC NET subjects can opt for a related subject for their examination.
