Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner recruitment test on 23rd September, 2012 to fill 253 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners in Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation

Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner recruitment test on 23rd September, 2012 to fill 253 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners in Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.  The time table for the examination is:

 

Date of Examination 23rd September, 2012
Day of Examination Sunday
Time of Examination 1000 hrs to 1200 hrs

The question paper will be of Objective type Multiple choice and carry a maximum of 100 marks. There is a provision of negative marking. For every wrong answer, one third of the marks assigned to that question would be deducted. If, however, no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.
The medium of the test will be English and Hindi.

Syllabus of the Test:

The General Ability test paper will be divided into two sections: Section A and Section B.

Section A will have questions on General English. The question paper would be designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge of English Language and workman-like use of the words.

The questions in General Studies component – Section B -- will broadly cover areas like Current Events; Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements;  Population, Development and Globalization; Governance and Constitution of India; Present  Trends in Indian Economy; Accountancy and Auditing, Industrial Relations & Labour Laws;  Insurance; Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications; General Science; Elementary Maths & Statistics; General Mental Abilities.

The candidate must note that his/her admission to the Test is strictly “Provisional”. Mere issuance of an e-Admit Card does not imply that the candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission.

Travelling, boarding and lodging and other expenses must be borne by the candidate.
