    Maithili Subject is becoming a good optional subject because of its scoring nature and the engineering student are opting this subject. Regional component is attached with this subject and hence the candidates belonging to the Bihar and Jharkhand region are opting for this subject more.

    2. Periodic division of Maithili literature.

    5. Medieval Maithili Drama (Kirtaniya Natak, Ankai Nat, Maithili dramas written in Nepal).

    6. Maithili Folk Literature (Folk Tales, Folk Drama, Folk Stories, Folk Songs).

    7. Development of different literary forms in modern era.
