Eligibility Criteria for UKPSC Forest Rangers Examination 2012

Educational Qualification: Candidates should be graduate with at least one of the subject of Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, and disciplines of Engineering (Agriculture/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Electronics/ Computer), Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics or statistics.

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 35 years

Pay Scale: Rs 9300- 34800 + Grade Pay Rs 4800

Selection Procedure for for UKPSC Forest Rangers Examination 2012

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the following Examination

• Preliminary Examination (FRE 2012): The Preliminary Examination will be of objective type and will consist of two papers namely General Studies and General Aptitude Test of 150 marks which needs to be completed in 2 hours duration
• Main Examination: The main examination (written) will consist of four paper as mentioned below
  
  a)   Paper I: General Knowledge (100 marks paper of 3 hrs duration)
  
  b)   Paper II: General English (100 marks paper of 3 hrs duration) will consist questions on Essay, Precis writing, Letter writing, Usages, Vocabulary and Application of Grammar
  
  c)   Paper III: General Hindi (100 marks paper of 3 hrs duration)
  
  d)  Paper IV: 2 optional papers carrying 200 marks each (Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications/Computer Science, Agriculture Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology) Note: Each question paper shall have two parts containing four questions in each part

• Interview (75 marks): Candidates will be finally selected on the basis of interview

How to Apply for UKPSC Forest Rangers Examination 2012: Duly filled in application forms in the prescribed format (given in official advertisement) and complete in all respects and must be sent either by registered post/ Speed Post/ or personally by hand to "The Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar-249404".

Application Fee: OMR Application forms can be obtained by paying application fees of Rs 220 for General and OBC category candidates and Rs 130 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates of Uttarakhand.

Candidates need to purchase OMR Application Form with the previously mentioned amount from the select Post Offices/ Sub Offices in the districts of Uttarkhand.
