VSS Medical College, Burla Notified 43 Senior Residents / Tutors Posts on Contracts

VSS Medical College, Burla, Odisha (Approved by Government of Odisha , Health & Family Welfare Department) issued notification inviting applications for temporary, contractual recruitment to 43 non-practicing posts of Senior Residents / Tutors in 18 disciplines on yearly basis for a maximum period of 3 years. Interested candidates should send their applications till 7 August 2013.

Remuneration

In-service departmental candidates: entitled to Salary

Direct candidates: Consolidated amount of Rs. 25000 per month

Eligibility

Age limit: Not above 35 years

Age will be reckoned as on 1 January 2013. The upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for SEBC / Women / ST / SC / Ex-Serviceman / Government of Odisha in Service Candidates.

Qualifications

For SR in clinical departments of broad specialties: MD / MS Degree in concerned discipline;

For Super-speciality departments (Neurosurgery / GU Surgery / Nephrology / Cardiology): DM / M Ch degree in concerned discipline failing which relevant MD / MS degree holders will be considered;

For Emergency Medicine: MD / MS in TBCD / General Surgery / Orthopedics / General Medicine / Anesthesiology;

For Transfusion Medicine: MD / MS in Pathology / Transfusion Medicine

For pre / para clinical disciplines: MBBS -- for the post of tutors; candidates having MD / MS degree in concerned discipline will be preferred.

The candidate must be registered with Central / State Medical Council.

The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and should have had Odia as a language subject in the Middle English School or any equivalent examination or has been declared to have passed a test in Odia Language equivalent to the Middle English School Standard conducted by the Education Department of Government of

Odisha;

NOTE: The candidate must not be continuing or have completed the tenure as Senior Resident / Tutor in any MCI recognized Institute.

Candidates with MD / MS and Super-speciality degree are eligible to apply only in their concerned discipline as Tutor or Senior Resident.

In case of non-availability of sufficient number of MBBS candidates, M. Sc. degree in Medical Anatomy / Medical Physiology / Medical Biochemistry / Medical Pharmacology / Medical Microbiology as prescribed by MCI will be considered.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done through a multi-stage process including Career assessment and counseling.

Career assessment: Assessment of  candidates performance in MBBS / BDS (contribution 60%), Intermediate (contribution 20%) and HSC or equivalent (contribution 20%); One mark will be deducted from the accrued career mark for each case of failure / extra attempt taken in any examination.

The Selection Committee would short-list the candidates to a reasonable number for the counseling to be held at VSS Medical College, Burla on 22 August 2013(11:00 am onwards).

List of short-listed candidates will be published in college website www.vssmedical.net.

Candidates will have to bring original documents during counseling for document verification failing which their claim will be forfeited.

Application Fees: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500 have to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft (signed at the back by the candidate) drawn in favour of ‘Principal, VSS Medical College, Burla’ payable at SBI Burla Branch(Code-2034).

How to Apply: interested eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with self-attested copies of relevant certificates, one self addressed envelope (approximately 23cm X 10 cm) affixed with stamp of Rs.40 and application fee DD by Registered Post/ Speed Post only to “The Dean and Principal ,VSS Medical College, Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha, Pin:-768017” so as to reach the concerned office by the prescribed last date.

On the envelope, candidates should super-scribe “Advt.no.2 / 2013 / Application for Tutor /  SR in subject of ____________”.

Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate application and DD for different disciplines.
