Educational Qualification:
Pass in Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. Ability to read ,write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali ).
Age Limit
18 to 40 years of age

Pay Scale for Sub-Inspector Posts
(PB-2) Rs.5,400/- to 25,200/- + G.P. Rs. 2,600/- -besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Educational Qualification:
- A second class Honours or a second class Master’s degree of a recognized University or its equivalent;
- A Bachelor degree in Teaching or Education from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Good knowledge in Bengali/Nepali – spoken and written.
- Ability to undertake extensive tour on official duty.
Age Limit
Not more than 36 years on 01 January 2018
Pay Scale for Sub Inspector Post
Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40, 500/- (P.B. – 4) plus Grade Pay Rs. 4, 700/-.
