15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit

The 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit was held at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi from 5 February 2015 to 7 February 2015.

The summit was organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The theme of the summit was Sustainable Development Goals and Dealing with Climate Change.

The summit witnessed a pool of distinguished speakers from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. Politicians, Diplomats, Corporates, Government Officials, media, NGOs and activists attended the summit.

Issues like the need for mitigation in Energy supply sector, generating finances for projects focusing on Sustainable Development, and educating the youth about sustainable development were discussed. Stress was laid on collective actions of both public and private sectors in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the summit, two reports namely, Global Sustainable Development Report and Energy Security Outlook were also launched.

ABOUT DSDS

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) annually organizes the DSDS since 2001. DSDS is an international platform to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on all aspects of sustainable development.

Over the past fourteen years, it has emerged as one of the foremost fora on issues related to global sustainability. This flagship event of TERI brings together various Heads of State and Government, thought leaders, policy-makers and academia to deliberate on myriad issues. Till date, over 37 Heads of State and Government and over 50 countries have registered their presence at the Summit.
