Punjab's government education system has got a new direction with the 'School of Eminence' project of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. These schools are known for modern facilities, global standards, and specialized preparation for competitive exams. Today, they have become a strong platform for the development of children's talents and the building of their careers.
Success of the initiative is clearly visible in exam results. The students of the ‘School of Eminence’ and other government schools saw remarkable results such as 265 students clearing JEE Mains, 44 clearing JEE Advanced and 848 students qualifying NEET. This achievement provides a boost to public confidence in the quality of government education.
The schools have incorporated all state-of-the-art facilities required for modern education: smart classrooms, high-tech science and computer laboratories, well-stocked libraries, great sports facilities, swimming pools, and digital learning tools. The government has taken special care to ensure that there is no inequality between rural and urban areas.
Here, free specialized coaching is provided to the students for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, NDA, and Armed Forces. Facilities like free bus service, uniforms, books, and shoes have been provided to them so that money constraints do not hinder their education.
As per the 'Mentorship Program' of Chief Minister Mann, senior IAS and PCS officers along with their team members are making a personal call to educational institutes and guiding students regarding career prospects. Frequent parent-teacher meetings are held to let the parents also share in the educational journey.
Now the “School of Eminence” has turned into a brand of advanced education, self-assurance, and fairness of opportunities. These schools are empowering the kids with the right groundwork to a promising and safe future.
