Belgium's former Queen Fabiola, the widow of the Belgium king Baudouin, died on 5 December 2014 in Brussels.

Belgium's former Queen Fabiola, the widow of the Belgium king Baudouin, died on 5 December 2014 in Brussels. She was 86.

The cause of Queen Fabiola death was not indicated.

• Born as Dona Fabiola de Mora y Aragon in Madrid to Spanish nobility, she married King Baudouin in December 1960.
• After marrying Baudouin, she became the fifth queen of the Belgians.
• She remained Queen Consort for 33 years until Baudoin's death in 1993.
• After Baudouin's death, Fabiola moved out of the Royal Palace of Laeken to take up residence at Stuyvenbergh Castle.
