Bharat Puri appointed as Managing Director of Pidilite Industries Limited

Bharat Puri was on 27 February 2015 appointed as Managing Director of Pidilite Industries Limited with effect from 10 April 2015. Bharat Puri was the independent director of the company since 2008.

Puri will succeed MB Parekh who will step down from position of Managing Director on 10 April 2015. Prior to this appointment, he was the President for Global Chocolate, Gum and Candy Categories at Mondelez International Limited based in Zurich.

Bharat Puri began his career with Asian Paints in 1982. He then moved to Cadbury India in 1998 as Director of sales and marketing. In 2002, he was appointed as head of Cadbury for South Asia.

Puri is an alumnus of Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
