Ghosts of Calcutta: Sebastian Ortiz
Book titled Ghosts of Calcutta authored by Sebastian Ortiz was released on 23 July 2015. Sebastian Ortiz is the pen name of French Consul-General of India Fabrice Etienne.
The book translated from French and published by the Kolkata-based Sampark was launched by French Ambassador in Delhi François Richier.
The book is the result of Fabrice search for the ghosts of British Raj-era in Kolkata. However, the book not only tells about the ghosts only but also about other characters like friends, associates, passer-bys, who were around him.
To write the book, the author has been visiting Kolkata since 1995, during which he has visited worn-out cemeteries and dilapidated government buildings of the city belonging to British era.
