Saugata Gupta chief executive officer (CEO) of Marico on 25 March 2014 was promoted as Managing Director (MD). Harsh Mariwala will step down from the post of MD and will remain Chairman of the company.
Saugata Gupta had joined Marico in 2004 as head of marketing. Soon, he became CEO of the India business in 2007. In April 2013, he was given additional responsibility of the international business.
