Civil Services Day was observed across India on 21 April 2013 by Civil Services to rededicate and recommit themselves to the cause of the people.

National Civil Services Day was observed on 21 April 2013 across India. The Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh inaugurated the function organized to give away the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2011-12.

This is a say that is observed by Civil Services to rededicate and recommit themselves to the cause of the people. It provides a unique opportunity for introspection as also working out future strategies to deal with the challenges being posed by the changing times. Eighth in a row, the day is being celebrated since 2006.
