Ravidas Jayanti was observed across the country on February 16, 2022 to mark the 645th birth anniversary of the renowned saint Ravidas. The day is observed every year on Magh Purnima. Sant Ravidas was a Bhakti saint, whose devotional songs and verses created a lasting impact upon the Bhakti Movement.

2. (c) Saudi Arabia

The Commander of Royal Saudi Land Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair arrived in India for a three-day visit on February 14, 2022 in a historic first. This is the first-ever visit to India by a serving Royal Saudi Land Forces Commander. It is a testament of the growing bilateral defence ties between India and Saudi Arabia.

3. (c) Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the state government will launch a portal to invite suggestions for change of names of cities, towns & villages, which are contrary to Indian civilisation, culture and derogatory to any caste or community.

Karnataka was originally known as the state of Mysore. It was formed on November 1, 1956, with the passage of the States Reorganisation Act. The name was changed to Karnataka on November 1, 1973.

The Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022 is an ongoing tournament, being hosted at Shah Alam in Malaysia. The event began on February 15, 2022 and will continue till February 20th.
