Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva launched the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty during the opening of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. This historic initiative involves 148 founding members, including 82 countries, various international organisations, financial institutions and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Recently, the three armies of India organised the joint military exercise 'Purvi Prahar' in Arunachal Pradesh. The event took place in the Shi-Yomi district of the state from November 14-17, 2024. Eastern Army Commander Lieutenant General RC Tiwari and Air Marshal IS Walia participated in the exercise.

India's first night safari park is being developed in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. This will become the fifth such safari in the world. Kukrail Night Safari Park and Wildlife Centre is being prepared in 900 acres. CM Yogi Adityanath's target is to complete this project by June 2026.

Recently, the Indian Army conducted Exercise 'Sanyukt Vimochan 2024' in Ahmedabad and Porbandar on 18-19 November 2024. Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard participated in this event. It was a multilateral annual joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise.

The first 'Kho Kho' World Cup will be organized from 13 to 19 January 2025 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor (IGI) Stadium in New Delhi. Indian Olympic Association and Indian Kho Kho Federation are organizing it.
