1. (b) Venezuela 

Venezuela on October 1, 2021 introduced a new currency with six fewer zeros. The highest denomination of the new currency will be 100 bolivars, as compared to the earlier higher denomination of 1 million bolivar.

The Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramírez de Rincón is currently on a visit to India. Her visit is scheduled between October 1-4, 2021. She will be meeting Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu and Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar and few other officials during the visit.

India and Australia resumed negotiations of the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) during the 17th India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission. Both the nations reiterated their commitment to sign a CECA by the end of 2022 including reaching an interim agreement by December 2021.

Smriti Mandhana has become the first Indian woman to score a Test hundred on Australian soil. She achieved the feat while batting during India's first innings on the second day of the first pink-ball Test match against Australia at the Carrara Oval in Queensland. The cricketer scored 127 runs, which includes 22 fours and a six.

Sri Lanka has banned the import of organic fertilisers manufactured in China after the agriculture authorities in the country detected harmful bacteria in them for the second time.
