The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, New Delhi's Dr. 'National Learning Week' or 'Karmayogi Week' was launched on Saturday at the Ambedkar International Center, which will run from October 19 to October 25, 2024. National Learning Week (NLW) aims to enhance learning through the participation of individuals and government bodies, such as ministries, departments and organisations.

Recently Luong Cuong has been appointed the new President of Vietnam. Luong Cuong was elected President by the National Assembly during its 8th session with 91.67% of the vote. Quong joined the army in 1975, rising to the rank of major general by 2006.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recently certified it officially malaria-free. Egypt became the second country globally to achieve this status this year after Cabo Verde. Egypt is the third country in the Eastern Mediterranean region to be included in this list, after Morocco in 2010 and the United Arab Emirates in 2007.

The 2024 edition of Pravasi Parichay, the Embassy’s flagship diaspora engagement programme, was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Kalam, Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia. Suhail Ajaz Khan did this at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. The week-long cultural festival began with a specially organised event titled "Classical Languages of India", aimed at highlighting the rich linguistic diversity of the country.
