Union Minister JP Nadda has been appointed the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha. He will replace Piyush Goyal, who is now a Lok Sabha member from North Mumbai in Maharashtra. Nadda was nominated to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat by the BJP in February this year.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda recently launched the National STOP Diarrhea Campaign 2024. He also released IEC material like logo, posters, radio spots and audio visuals for the campaign. India is hosting the 'ISO Council Meeting', a global event in the sugar sector, from June 25 to 27, 2024 in New Delhi. There are about 85 countries as members of the International Sugar Organization, which produce about 90 percent of the sugar in the world. Representatives from more than 30 countries and several international organizations are participating in this program.

The city of Kozhikode, located in the north of Kerala, has been officially declared India's first UNESCO City of Literature. This city is famous for its rich cultural heritage. This has been announced under the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, which was launched in 2004. Currently around 300 cities around the world are part of this network.
