Delhi Budget 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated Monday that the state budget for 2025–2026 is expected to be presented between March 24 and 26. Following the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 27-year electoral victory last month, this budget will be the BJP's first budget for the NCR.
Rekha Gupta cited the aspirations of the populace and stated that the budget would prioritize developing Delhi in accordance with the election pledge.
Delhi Budget: Fulfilment of BJP’s Manifesto
She mentioned the poll promises (to provide poor women with ₹2,500 per month), hospital expansion, transportation services, Yamuna cleaning, and senior citizen benefits, and stated that their goal is to create a budget that keeps its promises. Delhi CM Gupta announced in front of the media stating, "We will ask for the public's suggestions and incorporate them into the budget."

Gupta urged individuals to submit their budgetary proposals to the provided email address (viksitdelhibudget-25@delhi.gov.in) and a phone number (9999962025). She also mentioned a website solely dedicated to Delhi citizens' suggestions and advice to the government.
Gupta said she will hold multiple meetings before the budget starts on March 5, including a meeting with women's organizations.
According to the BJP representative, recommendations would be gathered from all facets of society in order to fulfill the promises that were made in the manifesto, including improving education, lowering air pollution, increasing public transit options, expanding health infrastructure, and providing financial assistance to women.

Key Aspects of the Delhi Budget 2025
The administration would also prioritize senior citizen welfare, cleaning the Yamuna, delivering on its promises to implement other public welfare programs, and providing nutritious food to the impoverished at reduced prices.
According to the chief minister, more than 5,000 women from various associations have been invited to the Delhi Assembly to provide feedback on the budget. "On March 6, we have invited a number of other people from various sectors, including education, rural development, farmers, and young people from all over the city, to present written recommendations to the Delhi Vidhan Sabha. Additionally, our MLAs will visit the public to solicit recommendations from all groups, including those residing in unapproved colonies," she stated.
“We will fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto. Every single promise will be fulfilled,” promised Rekha Gupta in front of the news media.
