President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev visited India on 21-22 December 2010, to participate in the 10th Annual Summit meeting under the India Russia Strategic Partnership. Dring this visit, Dmitry Medvedev, signed a total of 30 agreements with India, which covered areas like defence, power, gas, petrochemicals, trade etc. It was his second official visit to India after he first visited India in December 2008.
Dmitry Medvedev is the third President of Russia (Since its disintegarion in 1990). He assumed the office of President on 7 May 2008 after winning the presidential election of Russia in March 2008. Medvedev was also had been appointed as the first deputy Prime Minister of Russia by the then Russian President Vladimir Putin in November 2005.
Boris Yeltsin was the first President of Russia and Vladimir Putin was the Second.
