FEEs from Tourism increased by over 9 percent in May 2013

FEEs for May 2013 increased by more than 9 percent and the FTAs went up by 3.2 percent in the same period.

The Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) of India from tourism in the month of May 2013 increased by more than nine percent. The FEE recorded in May 2013 wad 6089 crore rupees against the 5562 crore rupees recorded in May 2012.

The report on FEEs was released by the Union Tourism Ministry in second week of June 2013. The report also cleared that the Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) also went up by 3.2 percent in May 2013. The recorded FTA in May 2013 was 3.84 lakh as compared to 3.72 lakh in May 2012.
