The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on 4 May 2011 appointed Praveen Kumar Goyal as Director (Finance). PK Goyal has replaced S V Narasimhan, who superannuated on 30 April 2011. Goyal has over three decades of experience in IOC and has handled the entire gamut of activities in the Finance function.
Prior to his elevation to the Board of Directors, he was Executive Director (International Trade, Information Systems and Optimisation) at IOC's corporate office.
Goyal who is a Chartered Accountant have in the past shouldered wide- ranging responsibilities that include treasury operations of size exceeding USD 80 billion, policy formulation and statutory compliances as well as appraisal of projects beyond Rs 100 crore.
He had previously held board-level positions in IOC's subsidiaries such as Chennai Petroleum Corp Ltd, Lanka IOC, IOT Infrastructure & Energy Services Ltd and erstwhile Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd.
