In the pilot project, the automatic train protection system would be introduced in a 650 km stretch of the golden quadrilateral corridor, which connects Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
This was announced by the Hyderabad Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav while addressing the 62nd annual day of the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunication.

The Indian Railways has been planning to provide world-class training facilities to all its centralised training institutes.
The trainees of the institute were called upon to acquire sound technical knowledge for achieving optimal results.
The curriculum of the Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications has also been designed in a manner that makes complex signalling and telecommunication sector appear simple to the trainees.
