California-based chipmaker Intel on 9 September 2014 launched a new range of processors Xeon E5-v3 to speed up performance in data centres.
The new range of processors is Xeon E5-2600/1600 v3 product families.
New range of processors aimed at addressing the requirements of diverse workloads and the rapidly evolving needs of data centres.
The processors will be used in servers, workstations, and storage and networking infrastructure to power a broad set of workloads such as data analytics, high-performance computing, telecommunications and cloud-based services, as well as back-end processing for the Internet of Things.
India sectors like telecom, financial services, government, e-commerce, manufacturing and cloud-based service providers will be benefited from this new series of processors.
