Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated Knowledge, Wellbeing, and Innovation (KWIN) City near Bengaluru on September 26. Many senior cabinet ministers were also present at the event.
KWIN City is the new name for this initiative, which was formerly known as Knowledge, Health, Innovation, and Research (KHIR) City.
KWIN City: Alternative to Bangalore
The project's goal is to build a city that is comparable to Bengaluru so that everyone can have equal access to the capital of Karnataka and experience equal growth and opportunity in all areas.
KWIN City Location
The region between Doddaspete and Doddaballapur, which is about 60 kilometers from Bengaluru, was rounded off by the state government for the city after considering all the suggestions. Situated on the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), the project will occupy a land area of 2000 acres.
The KWIN city is situated approximately an hour's drive from the Kempegowda International Airport. Doddaballapur is predicted to see a fresh bloom in real estate.
KWIN City's main objective is to draw prestigious universities, startups, research facilities, and global health centers that can provide jobs for the local population. The project is being carried out by the Department of Commerce and Industries. Since the city is situated away from the typical traffic in Bengaluru, investors are probably going to be drawn to it, especially considering how close it is to the international airport.
