Neptune the eighth planet of the solar system completed its first orbit around the sun on 12 July 2011, 165 years after its discovery. Neptune is also the farthest planet from Sun. It was discovered by German astronomer Johann Galle on 23 September 1846.
Neptune is blue-green in colour and it was named after Roman God of Sea. Neptune completes one revolution every 165 years.
