The Union Budget 2025 will be presented in Parliament by Sitharaman on February 1, 2025, carrying on a tradition that dates back ten years. Although there hasn't been a formal announcement on the Union Budget's timing, it is generally accepted that it will be presented to Parliament on February 1.
Given that February 1st comes on a Saturday this year, there were some concerns about the date. Nonetheless, the presentation of the Union Budget on a Saturday has happened on a number of occasions in the past.
Union Budget 2025 Time
Sitharaman is anticipated to deliver the Union Budget on February 1, 2025, at 11:00 am, in accordance with the customary time slot. With six complete budgets and two interim budgets, this will be her eighth presentation of the Union Budget.
Will Stock Market Open on February 1?
The stock market will actually be open for the Union Budget presentation on Saturday, February 1. On February 1, the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange will both be open for business from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Following the 2024 Lok Sabha election, which saw the Modi government retake power for a third straight term, this will be Sitharaman's second full budget. Amrit Kaal's "Viksit Bharat" theme is probably going to be the main focus of the Union Budget.
