Not Just an Accountant: former CAG Vinod Rai
Former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai authored a book titled Not Just an Accountant. The book will be released in October 2014.
At present, the book was in news because, the author has revealed that the UPA government pressurized him to delete certain names from CAG audit reports on Coalgate and Commonwealth Games scams.
After this revelation, the Congress slammed and accused him of sensationalism. It is also questioning him that why he hadn’t made these facts public while he was in office.
Whereas, BJP that leads the present NDA government has asked him to reveal the names of those who tried to influence his reports.
The book is in line with other books that has criticised Manmohan Singh as a Prime Minister. The other books are
