The Chhattisgarh government on 7 December 2011 decided to raise the percentage of reservation for the scheduled tribes (STs) and scheduled castes (SCs) in government jobs. The STs will now get 32 per cent whereas the SCs will get 12 per cent reservation.
The OBCs will continue to be given 14 per cent reservation as usual.
