Ayodhya dispute: SC allows mediation on Ram Mandir to continue till July 31

Supreme Court has allowed mediation process in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case to continue till July 31. The mediation panel will now submit its report on August 1, after which the court will decide whether a hearing is required in the case. The five-judge SC Constitution bench, headed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi, had earlier on July 11 sought a report on the mediation process from the mediation panel.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has declared a new launch date for Chandrayaan-2, India's most ambitious mission to the Moon. ISRO has declared in a recent tweet that launch of Chandrayaan-2 has been rescheduled for July 22, 2019. The lunar mission was called off in the early hours of July 15, its scheduled launch date due to a technical snag. Chandrayaan-2 launch vehicle GSLV MK-III will carry an orbiter, lander and a rover to uncover lunar secrets.

Palau signs International Solar Alliance Framework Agreement

Palau became the 76th country to join the International Solar Alliance after it signed the International Solar Alliance Framework agreement recently. Palau is a part of the Micronesia region in the western Pacific Ocean with over 500 islands. ISA is a major global initiative for contributing to the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement through rapid and massive deployment of solar energy.
