A song by pop sensation Shakira and South African band Freshlyground was in April chosen as the official 2010 Football World Cup anthem. The anthem titled ‘Time for Africa’ is expected to be released to radio stations worldwide and would be available for download from 26 April 2010. Shakira and Freshlyground would perform the track at the World Cup kick-off concert on 10 June at the tournament’s opening ceremony and before the 11 July final.
