President Draupadi Murmu has recently appointed Madhya Pradesh High Court Judge Sheel Nagu as the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. His tenure will start from the date he assumes charge.

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy has recently launched the 'Nirman' portal to help the candidates of National Civil Services Examination Mains. Under this initiative, assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to eligible UPSC candidates. It will be provided to those candidates whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh and who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Women or Third Gender.

The 16th edition of the joint military exercise 'Nomadic Elephant' between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Army began on July 3 at Umroi, Meghalaya. The aim of this military exercise is to enhance military interoperability between the two countries. This exercise, which will last for two weeks, will conclude on July 16.

Foreign Minister Dr. S Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. He is representing Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 24th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of States.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recently successfully test-fired the first indigenous anti-radiation missile, Rudram-1. This is an air-to-surface missile, which has been designed for the Indian Air Force. It is integrated with the Indian Air Force's Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet, which serves as the launch platform.
