The National Law University, Delhi releases the exam pattern of AILET exam for BA LLB and LLM. The AILET exam pattern includes details about the question paper including the subjects, marking scheme and other details. AILET 2024 Exam Pattern - Overview
AILET exam pattern is decided by NLU Delhi. The paper pattern for AILET exam differs from that of CLAT exam pattern. The AILET exam shall be held in offline mode for a duration of 1 Hour 30 Minutes. AILET BA LLB shall be only objective in nature while AILET LLM shall be both objective and descriptive. Candidates must also go through the AILET syllabus in order to familiarise themselves with the topics in the syllabus. AILET Exam Pattern 2024 for BA LLB
AILET BA LLB exam consists of three sections English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning. The total marks for BA LLB is 150. All the questions shall be objective in nature. Check the following table to know more about BA LLB exam pattern.

AILET Exam Pattern 2024 for LLM
AILET LLM exam consists of two sections. Section A has two subjects, English Language and Logical Reasoning having 50 questions in total. On the other hand, Section B is a descriptive test consisting of a total of 8 to 10 questions. However, candidates will have to answer only 2 questions out of all. The total marks for the AILET LLM exam is 150 marks.

AILET 2024 Marking Scheme
The AILET question paper for BA LLB will have objective-type questions, therefore, the marking scheme is as under:
- Each question carries one mark that will be awarded for each correct attempt
- In case, candidates have marked wrong options then negative marking will be done and for each wrong attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
AILET Exam Pattern 2024 - Important Points
- The entrance test, AILET, is conducted in offline mode. Candidates will be given question booklets and OMR sheets along with a rough sheet.
- Candidates will be required to mark the answers in the OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
- The total number of questions is 150 in both AILET BA LLB and LLM. The questions will be divided into different sections. Candidates will have to attempt all the questions.
- Questions left unanswered will not be penalised with a negative marking. However, if the candidate gives incorrect answers, a negative marking of 0.25 marks per question will be applied.
- The test duration is 90 minutes. This excludes the time given for reporting.
