LPG cylinders have reached the kitchens of almost all houses. At the same time, LPG gas connections are also installed in some houses. When a cylinder is delivered at home, people check its weight while taking the cylinder, but no one pays attention to the expiry date, whereas an LPG cylinder also tells when it is expiring. This is very important because we can avoid any major accident with this. In such a situation, how can we check the expiry date? This article has complete information.

How to Check the Expiry Date?

When we buy a cylinder, the expiry date is written on it. This date is written with English letters and numbers. By looking at these numbers, we can identify when the cylinder kept in your kitchen is about to expire. However, now the question is how will you identify it, so understand it in simple words below:

-Some such codes are usually written on a cylinder: A26, B25, or C30 and D32.

-Here the English letters represent the months of the year. The English letter A represents January, February, and March; B represents April, May, and June; C represents July, August, and September; and D represents October, November, and December.

Now suppose A26 is written on a gas cylinder; then that cylinder will expire by March 2026. However, if D32 is written on a cylinder, it will expire in December 2032.

In how many years does a cylinder expire?

Now the question is, after how many years does a cylinder expire? A cylinder expires in 15 years. Meanwhile, a cylinder is checked after completing 10 years.

At the same time, the cylinder is checked again when it is 15 years old. The point to be noted here is that it cannot be ensured from the expiry date that the cylinder is completely fit. Sometimes leakage can also occur due to other reasons. In such a situation, whenever you buy a cylinder, check it properly along with weighing it, whether it is leaking from anywhere or not. Also, check its expiry date.
