The T20 format does not always emphasise high scores and batting supremacy; occasionally, the bowlers assert dominance. Throughout T20 World Cup history, there have been instances where teams have been bowled out for remarkably low scores.
Notably, the Netherlands holds the record for the lowest team total in T20 World Cup history. On 24 March 2014, the Netherlands were dismissed for a mere 39 runs courtesy of Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
