The 2024 Olympics in Paris, scheduled from July 26 to August 11, will be the largest event ever organized in France. Millions of spectators will attend, filling 35 venues in and around Paris. Over 10,500 athletes from more than 200 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and the IOC Refugee Olympic Team will compete in 329 events over 19 days. Surfing returns to the Olympics in 2024 but with a twist - the events will take place in Tahiti, French Polynesia, rather than Paris. A panel of five judges will evaluate surfers on their technique, considering the variety and type of tricks, difficulty of maneuvers, and overall flow, power, and speed.
